Centerless machines allow to grind many steps (cylindrical, cone, tapers, centers,) in one operation. As for semi product that is made in large quantities, it allows to produce product with prepared base (external centers) with “zero” run out in reference to other grinded steps like cylindrical (bearing bases or tool holder).
Centerless machine consists of grinding wheel, supporting wheel and workblade. From setting up view, very important is over
center high “e” value, and angle of the work rest blade. • very fast grinding cycle • cheap grinding wheel • very large precision that allows to grind in class 4 or 5 • very small geometric errors like run out or cylindricity • possibility of using cheap loader ( stepper conveyer) • low pressure of cooling oil • possibility of grinding centers, tapers, cylindrical steps • low wheal consumption. |

Correctly setting up machine requires:
• a lot of experience
• proper work rest blade
• grinding & supporting wheels (sometimes spacer rings)
• profile program for grinding and supporting wheel.
Today’s technology experts use a 3D programs that make preparing this process easier
Types of work rest blades:
After years of experience of our stuff we are able to produce workblades for centerless machines. We can offer many kinds of work rest blades beginning from typical and ending on special design as per drawings delivered by customer. Because of many types of blanks that are grinded on this kind of machine, we presented below few groups of the most important types of work rest blades.
One radius blade It’s the most common shape of the work rest blade. |

Two radius blade Second type of shape. It is used with smaller blanks to strengthen blade’s. |

One radius blade with a cutted base (“Backpack”) This type of the blade is more effective with grinding parts where “centers” needs to be grinded. |

V shape blade This shape allows to put a workpiece on the moving blade (when the workblade is a part of axis connected with diamond profiling system and moves out from machine – like in Tschudin machine). It requires a larger diameter of the blanks. |

V shape with a stainless sheet plate (“Backpack”) In contrasts to V shape blade type there is a stainless plate(gray color) with width starting from 0.2 mm. It allows to work with smaller diameter blanks than in V shape blade type. The stainless plate have an option to move up and down, just as the blade is worn out (by lowering screw – green) diameter of the blanks. |

Number of seats:
It’s very important to support blanks with the greatest possible width. In order to achieve the biggest width sometimes there is required to project a few seats as shown below.
Work rest blade with 3 seats, each seat has a melted in a carbide insert.

Type of material:
Work rest blades are made from many kinds of material:
• construction steel
• HSS steel
• tungsten carbide inserts
• dense cast iron
• ampco bronze
• stainless plates.
An optimal material depends on:
• hardness and material of grinded element
• width of grinded element
• kinematic of machine
• quantity of each serie.
Connection methods:
Thanks to brazing’s method we can connect harder material for lowering a wear off with a base that is made from “non hardened” material.

- Centers are the tools that have been grounded to a point to accurately position a work piece in the axis.
Centers are used to: • mount part in concentricity and without run-out • allow the work piece to rotate with or without centers, in grinding or turning machines with high accuracy. |

Centers can be internal or external made from:
• construction steel
• HSS steel
• tungsten carbide inserts
• diamond polycrystalline surface
• coated with PVD layers.
For internal centers we are able to do hole diameter from 0.2mm

Diamond dies especially for drawing carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, nickel and silver wire. Dies can obtain various geometry and shape in which the working part is made of natural or synthetic mono and poli-diamond.
Tungsten carbide dies especially for drawing various ferrous and nonferrous wires, rods and tubes with holes diameter from 0,25mm up to 90mm.
Dies can be designed and manufactured by GPsoft as per customized shape and geometry.
We can deliver different types, diameters as per Customer’s need.
